Fruit and vegetables

Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables because they are rich in folic acid. Folic acid is important for fertility and healthy conception. Eat a variety of fruit and vegetables a day. These can be fresh, frozen, canned, dried or juiced. Always wash them carefully and to get the benefit of the nutrients they contain.

Increase proteins

Protein is another nutrient essential for fertility and conception. Sources of proteins include meat, eggs, milk, beans, soybean chunks etc. For non-vegetarian it’s comparatively easier to fill their daily quota of proteins from eggs, chicken and fish.  However, avoid fish that is high in mercury such as shark/flake, marlin.

Junk food found to increase nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. It also adds unnecessary weight gain. So choose healthy food when eating.
