Mix one tablespoon of grated ginger into one cup of water. Boil it. Let it simmer for 10 minutes.  Add half tablespoon of lemon juice and honey each into it. Mix it well and drink it.

Chicken soup is one of the tastiest, healthy and refreshing way of getting rid of cold and cough in pregnancy. It is rich in anti-inflammatory properties that help to fight with infection. You may add ginger and garlic in your soup to make it healthier. All these ingredients work really well in get rid of cold.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar alkalinizes the body. A body that is more alkaline is more effective in fighting off viruses that cause colds and coughs. It contains bacteria that fight of infection.

Mix one or two tablespoons of the apple cider vinegar into water and drink it. You can also take it with black tea.

Honey

Honey is a universally accepted remedy to getting rid of cold and cough in pregnancy. It acts as a cough suppressant that boosts the immune system. It is also easily available and tasty remedy.

Add a teaspoon of honey into a glass of warm water. You can also add a tablespoon of lemon juice into it. Mix well and drink this mixture. Drink twice a day for better results.

Take Steam

Steam is very effective in cleansing the mucus. . Steam is also beneficial in providing relief from a sore throat. Moreover, steaming helps relax cough too.

You may a take steam directly from a pot of boiling water or you may use a humidifier.
